Maria's expertise in network engineering is a welcome addition to Ergo's skill base. Using Electrical Power Systems Analysis (ETAP) software, she is working on network modelling and design, load flow and earthing studies. She has strong analytical skills honed by a background in academia.

Before joining Ergo in 2010, Maria lectured in both power and control systems at The University of Auckland.

For many years Maria has held network planning and design roles at Mercury Energy and the Auckland Electric Power Board. Previous projects have included planning supplies to distribution substations; analyzing the distribution company's HV feeder network; and reviewing the network's reliability of supply standards.
