Scott joined Ergo in 2007, and after two years was appointed head of the Control Systems department. He is experienced in power systems distribution, controls, hardware and software design, and project management. His specialist skills are in the areas of industrial electrical and controls hardware design, 400V diesel generation, switchgear, motor control, distribution, protection, PLC/DCS controls and instrumentation. In addition to high level design work and project management, he is responsible for quality assurance and for developing Ergo's systems and standards.

More than twenty years in the electrical industry has given Scott a wide knowledge base. After a thorough grounding of seven years as an industrial electrician, he went on to get a degree in electrical engineering. Since then Scott has worked as an engineer in various capacities - in the water and wastewater sector, for another Auckland based electrical consultancy, and for a refrigeration company.
